FASTEST XP FARM – The First Descendant Farming Guide! (Post Patch)

Hey everyone, today, we’re diving into the best XP farming method after the latest update. The recent patch nerfed two popular AFK AOE farms, but don’t worry—I’ve found an equally efficient method to earn XP quickly. Let’s break it down.

Previous Best XP Farm

Before today’s update, the best XP farming spot I found was Echo Swamp Defend Albion Resource. This spot allowed me to reach level 40 in about an hour and 10 minutes. You had to complete around 21 rounds, but it was a reliable method.

New Best XP Farm: Void Fragment in Fortress

The new XP farm I’m sharing today can get you to level 40 in about 39 to 40 minutes, which is quite impressive. However, it requires a specific setup to maximize efficiency. Let’s dive into the details.

Location and Setup

• Location: Fortress, teleport to the Fallen Ark area.
• Target: Void Fragment.
• Key Character: Bunny (for her AOE explosion ability).

Farming Strategy

1. Positioning: Head to a large cave where enemies spawn on a platform and near an ammo spot. Bunny’s AOE explosion can hit both enemy spawn points and the void fragment if you position her against the wall.
2. AOE Requirements: Aim for a 200% range on Bunny’s AOE to ensure maximum coverage.
3. Execution: Bunny’s three (big AOE explosion) should be used strategically. Previously, rolling into a wall could quickly provoke this ability, but the latest patch changed this. Now, you need to rely on distance traveled, and Bunny’s jump counts towards this. Double jumping is the new method to quickly trigger her ability.

XP and Rewards

• XP Gain: Using Bunny, you can farm an absurd amount of XP. My weapons reached level 40 in about 40 minutes using this method.
• Rewards: You can earn 17 monomers and six inorganic void shards per farm session.
• Efficiency: Missions can be completed in about 18 seconds, with waiting time between missions being roughly equal to mission time.

Alternative XP Farm: Frozen Valley

If the main cave farm isn’t to your liking, there’s another efficient method:

• Location: Fortress, on the left side of Frozen Valley.
• Setup: It Requires a combination of Vasa and Bunny.
• Method: Enemies spawn on a hill in a concentrated spot. Vasa and Bunny can quickly eliminate them. This method also results in incredibly fast mission completions (around 17 seconds).

Key Tips

1. Macro Warning: The developers have noted they don’t want players using macros or external programs for AFK farming. It’s best to engage with the game actively to avoid trouble.
2. Weapon XP: Only the weapon you’re holding will receive 100% of the XP. Weapons not in your hand at the time of enemy deaths will only get around 20% of the XP. Keep this in mind to maximize your weapon leveling efficiency.
